Splash, it has been shown that as societies are improved and educated, the number of children they have go DOWN, not UP. You can look anywhere in America and find the very same things. Maybe not on such a grand scale, but isn&#39;t a child still a child no matter where he lives? Don&#39;t get me wrong, I&#39;m not saying we shouldn&#39;t help people in other countries, I&#39;m just saying that maybe we&#39;re not looking in our own backyard because it&#39;s not news worthy enough.<br /> As for &quot;Splash&quot; I hope you don&#39;t have any children of your own because if one of them gets deathly ill or hit by a car, are you going to sit back and not fight for their life because that&#39;s just nature taking its&#39; course?<br /> One last comment to Mr. Gates; next time you have to sit on a board about saving kids lives, try showing on a BIG screen moving pictures of a child who is dying and then move on to pictures of the same child and his family after he&#39;s been cured. Few people are not moved by tears of joy and the love of a family who nearly lost a child. "Give a man a fish and he has one meal, teach a man to fish and he can feed for life." The problem with Gates feeding and fixing all those people is who then will feed all the additional people that they will then breed?? As cruel as it may sound; in the animal world, nature has a way of causing many animals to cut down on or stop breeding in times of drought and low food supply. Gates will only make the Aftican problem worse. The real problem both in Aftica and on this entire planet is there are just way too many people.
